Financial Literacy Skills

A cornerstone of Participate Australia’s Life Skills activities is our financial literacy program called Making Money Easy.  Our unique and innovative program help participants to develop the money handling skills with real world applications. Our online course is designed to be easy to use so that you can navigate the course yourself, with the help of a family member, friend or support worker.

Making Money Easy helps our participants to become more financially independent by applying skills learned either online or in the classroom to everyday life. The course has three levels:

  • Basic – Participants in this group develop a basic understanding of maths and learn to identify and count money.
  • Intermediate – This group begins to focus on more complex money operations and shopping. Participants in this group are working towards independence with money handling.
  • Advanced – The advanced level allows participants to begin to focus on how to budget for the aspects of their everyday life, use online shopping and gain a better understanding of banking services.

We provide a variety of online supports such as a teacher guides, worksheets, quizzes, and games to make the learning more fun. The program is built in a modular way so that participants can build upon skills learned in the previous level. A participant can repeat the course as many times as needed to embed the learning.

You can trial sign up for a FREE 7 day trial to see if Making Money Easy is right for you. You can purchase the course directly or pay for it by using your NDIS funds.
